MARCH 14TH DATE FOR MADISON COMMUNITY ALLIANCE MEETING.
[UPDATE: APRIL 2016] This meeting was incredibly well attended. It is clear that the Madison community is fully engaged with the mission to revitalize Madison in a smart and efficient manner that benefits the community. Metro Planning Department representing Madison presented a very well thought out presentation specific to Madison, zoning and planning, and MDHA Redevelopment Planner spoke extensively about Madison as a potential area for redevelopment designation. The community was very enthused. It is clear that we must carefully review where tall and skinnies can be built because these type of structures are not what the Madison community wants to see in their neighborhoods. Hopefully, developers will be keen to design another style which compliments the homes in the area and doesn’t overshadow with height and overtake property lines with overwhelming proximity.
Nonetheless, the Madison community is open and welcoming and ready to hear revitalization plans and more importantly see some fantastic homes, retail and services come to the area.

This meeting is with Metro Planning Department to discuss:
1.new development in Madison (zoning, tall & skinny, gentrification)
2. Madison as a Redevelopment District with developer incentives and what that means to you, to our town.
3. NMotion and Madison as transit oriented development (to be confirmed)

Madison Community Room, 400 Myatt Drive, inside the Madison Police Precinct, 6 – 7:30pm, 3/14. Get the word out! FOR THOSE that have expressed discomfort going to a police station, the community room has a separate entrance, is state of the art, 5,000 sq. feet. with a kitchen area. It is for US! GORGEOUS!
