Madison hires development consultant Randall Gross

Madison is taking action to boost its economy while sustaining its affordability by hiring Randall Gross Development Economics.

Gross will develop an economic and real estate market analysis and create a plan for the community to attract new development and maintain its character.

“This study will explore opportunities and define community challenges on many levels,” Gross said in a prepared statement. “It’s my role to facilitate translating the community’s vision into a strategic plan, generating sustained growth while preserving what makes Madison unique.”

All Together Madison — a committee of residents, business owners and elected officials — hired Gross using a grant from The Memorial Foundation. The nonprofit Discover Madison Inc. will be the project’s fiscal sponsor.

In Nashville, Gross has worked with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, Metro Planning, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and private developers.
